Art in the Afternoon has been running in the Cambridgeshire village of Burwell for over 6 years and aims to nurture creativity and provide a space in the village for members of the local community to gather and share their enjoyment of painting and drawing.
It is a friendly group including people from many different walks of life and artistic abilities. The afternoons are relaxed, with a focus on the enjoyment that creativity can bring, whilst also aiming to improve skills and move learning forward. There is often a theme or source of inspiration to begin each session, but people in the group are free to choose how they use this information, according to their own abilities and goals.
We currently meet at the Burwell Baptist Church school room, on a Thursday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm and sessions are charged at £15 for each 2 hour session, including some art materials and refreshments.
