[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]After much wandering around the garden and sketching, plus a few false starts and wake-up-in-the-middle-of-the-night-thinking-about-paint moments, I finally achieved my painting for the Great Paint In 2020!  I ended up finding inspiration from the beautiful blue love-in-a-mist flowers that have scattered themselves along my front garden path. I spent many a happy hour painting by my open front door, watching my neighbours and the sunshine and shadows come and go, whilst I remained safely shielding inside.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”997″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”998″ img_size=”medium” style=”vc_box_outline”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”999″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_column_text]

Work in Progress!

I only have a small house, so having my easel in my kitchen doorway and my paints set up in my narrow hallway certainly made for some interesting moments throughout the week!  There was much juggling of paint and teapots and I have some newly  discovered contortionist skills!

Testing out many composition options in my sketchbook, before eventually deciding to stand in my doorway. I think I might still revisit some of the other options though!
